The Monkees Tale

Hey, Hey, we're the Monkees! the 60's sitcom about a struggling young band, was created by TV producers Bob Rafelson & Bert Schneider, inspired by The Beatles film "A Hard Days Night".

The prefab four, as some critics labelled them, were Micky Dolenz, Mike Nesmith, Peter Tork, and Davy Jones. The Monkees became an instant TV and pop charts success selling 75 in just 2 years. While charts hits like "The Last Train to Clarkesville" and "I'm a Believer" quickly created a huge demand for live concert tours.

The problem was, until then The Monkees' music had been recorded by session musicians and the Monkees only provided the vocals. Now, the fictional band wanted to become real and like Pinocchio became a real boy, they cut the strings.  This is the story of the Monkees with a young band of talented singers/musicians who really can play and a hilarious narrator.

So, you better get ready... Here we come, The MONKEES Tale.
